UX Research / UX Design / Software Architecture
The objective of this research project is to evaluate if creating an updated layout workflow and architecture in the Unreal Engine that works with the DNEG VFX pipeline for the VFX layout team is possible.
This includes using already existing Unreal tools and creating prototypes of new tools in Unreal that don’t exist yet in Unreal. The goal is to create a product that allows layout artists to seamlessly switch between Unreal and other DNEG pipeline tools as one cohesive workflow.
The focus of this research project was on evaluating the current process and creating a new workflow and architecture for the artists. As well as creating concepts for 3 of the new Unreal tools.

This design process were the series of steps that the team took to turn our idea into our concepts and workflows. Even though this process might seem very linear it was ever evolving and iterative.
This process is a generalized version of the UX redesign process as all the important and necessary information and data to update the design are collected before starting the redesign iterations and testing them with users.
